BACKSBERG IS GEARED TO CATER FOR CONFERENCES FOR SMALL AND LARGE GROUPS OF UP TO 300 PEOPLE.

VENUES:

Option 1: Neville’s Place at Backsberg (20 – 300 delegates)
Our conference venue is very versatile in that we are able to accommodate small or large groups as the venue can be divided into smaller areas by our custom made sliding panels. Every section is accessible from the reception courtyard and has doors with windows, which provide natural light and access to the verandah overlooking the estate.There is easy access for vehicles and other large pieces of equipment making it well suited for corporate launches and exhibitions.

Option 2: Historic Vat Cellar (up to 80 delegates)
This venue can accommodate up to 80 delegates, boardroom style, on a red brick aisle between huge old oak fermentation barrels. A venue with a difference and a real wow factor, something your delegates will be discussing for years to come!

OPTION 3: Boardroom (up to 20 delegates)
We also have an exclusive, private Boardroom available for smaller executive meetings.

Break Away Venues:
We have the facilities to accommodate break away venues

Furniture and Equipment:
Trestle and Banqueting Tables and Padded Conference Chairs
Flip Chart / White Board / Screen and Data Projector
Should you require linen, additional furniture and conference equipment, we will hire these items according to your requirements and specifications. The cost will be determined by your choices and added to the final bill.

Catering:
On the conference table: Jugs of garnished water, cordials and mints
Conference Refreshment Breaks: Tea and Coffee / Pastry / Muffin / Scone
Lunch: Served in the Backsberg Restaurant.
Sample Menu: Spit roasted Lamb in a freshly baked Ciabatta with roasted potatoes and greek salad

Beverages:
All other beverages will be charged on consumption.

Staffing:
Logistical and service staff will be arranged by Backsberg.

Lunch Venue:
Weather permitting we will set up tables in the beautiful, tranquil restaurant garden in the shade of the Oak trees. Our Restaurant specialty is Lamb on the Spit accompanied by our famous roast potatoes and a variety of lovely summer salads.We do have vegetarian options and are able to accommodate halaal and Kosher guests at a surcharge of R50 per person.

Should you require a private venue for your event the venue hire fee is R50 per person, with a minimum of R2500. Excluding linen and decor.

CONFERENCE PACKAGES:
Full Day Conference Package: R275 per person
Half Day Conference: R 250.00 per person
Excluding Beverages, charged on consumption

At Backsberg, nothing is set in stone. We are very flexible and willing to accommodate our clients’ specific requirements. The package can be adjusted accordingly.

ACCOUNTING DETAILS AND RESERVATION TERMS:
We require the amount for the Venue Hire Fee as a deposit to secure your reservation. We request that final number of delegates is confirmed 7 days prior to the conference and require full pre-payment at this time. We also require that the beverage account and service charge is settled on the day of the conference.
