A tasting morning

This morning we tasted through all our wines which are in bottle, including some wines from up to 10 years ago.

It’s fascinating to do a big tasting like this, and to see how wines have evolved and developed, and to try speculate how certain wines are going to change in the future.

Wine is never static.

Wine of the Tasting Was ???

    • Simon Back

Hi Chris, good question! I think my wine of the tasting was a Chardonnay from 2003. This Chardonnay was matured in 100% new French oak, and was still in perfect balance, with a wonderful golden colour, fresh, bright acidity, and a long finish. This style of Chardonnay is perhaps not as popular today, but for me a big chardonnay, done well, can still be a winner. SB
